Specifically, the weights used in the construction of monetary Divisia aggregates are corrected starting from the elaboration of a technological progress indicator bearing in mind the evolution of the number of automatic teller machines and plastic credit cards of the Spanish savings banks over the period 1983.3.-1993.2. Demand for money equations are estimated for the M2 and ALP aggregates as well as for the corresponding Divisia aggregates (corrected and not corrected by the effect of these new technologies).

Keywords: transaction technologies, Divisia indices, demand for money.
